Please suggest what precaution i have to take. Thanks Jyoti singh
Hello. The width of the cervical canal is 4mm, which is suggestive of minimal dilatation of endocervical canal. However the cervix undergoes changes in length and width during pregnancy, so I would like to keep a watch on the cervix on ultrasound.
A dilatation of the cervical canal (fills with fluid) especially in the second or third trimester is considered a predictor for a preterm delivery. With a history of leaking fluid, You need to take the supportive medication prescribed to you. Also take complete rest & avoid physical activity.
Please talk to your doctor about a followup visit. Hope this is helpful. Take care.
